Isn’t the journey of life an incredible thing?

I mean, seriously, there are so many beautiful stories out there to be told. So many memories to hold on to. So many nostalgic moments that start with, “Remember when…?”

We travel the earth looking for the people to create community with - people we know we can count on no matter what, our ride-or-dies, our drop-everything-just-to-drink-coffee-together friends. In TV-speak, the Cece to our Jess, the Steve to our Dustin, and, eventually, romantically, the Lily to our Marshall.  And when we find our Lily, well then - hot damn. We can see our whole life unfolding before us - the cute house, the little souls (furry or human), the rocking chairs on the front porch. 

Pretty incredible, right? 

It’s no secret that hiring a wedding photographer can be expensive (sometimes, it’s one of the most expensive vendors to invest in for your wedding day, after the venue and catering). But there is good reason for that. Not only do wedding photographers capture the memories, but they also capture the story. The little in-betweens. The kisses with your nana. The hugs with your best friend. The little moments between you and your person when you think no one is looking. We know your wedding is Day 1 for you - and Day 1 needs to be documented carefully, lovingly, intentionally, so that when you look back on your images, you’re not just looking, but you’re feeling. All good stories transport you into the story itself. Your wedding photos can do that, too. 

I’m a photographer, but I also deeply desire to support you like a kind friend would on your wedding day. I want to hype you up when you’re anxious and hug you when you’re a little overwhelmed. And I want you to be able to trust me to photograph your wedding day like you would trust a friend, too - paying attention to the community around you and those precious small moments that may sometimes feel easy for a stranger to miss  (but not me - because I’m not a stranger anymore, remember? 😉)  After all, when the day is over, the guests have gone home, and your attire is put away for safekeeping, the one thing you have left are your photographs. 

Photographs capturing the joy and love of your day.  Photographs telling your story.

And doesn’t it make sense to invest in telling your story, so you can be transported back to it again and again, whenever you look at your photos?

I think so.
